Meet Our Providers

Jean Z. Couchman, M.A., FAAA

Owner, Audiologist/Hearing Aid Specialist

Jean has been providing audiology services in the Richmond area since 1984 and established her private practice in 2007. She is a founding Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, is certified by the American Board of Audiology. She holds Virginia licensure as an Audiologist and Hearing Aid Specialist. She has extensive experience in audiological evaluation, tinnitus treatment, hearing aid fitting, maintenance and repair, and wireless accessories with all ages through her work at Children’s Hospital of Richmond, a multidiscipline rehabilitation agency and 14 years with a large, local Ear, Nose and Throat physician practice. She enjoys traveling and boating with her husband, spoiling her three grandchildren, spending time with her son, gardening and baking.

Nicole Denney, AuD, CCC-A

Dr. Nicole Denney Whitham is originally for Kansas City and earned both her Bachelor’s degree and her Doctoral degree from the University of Kansas. She completed her audiology residency at the Hearing Rehab Center in Denver, Colorado. During her schooling and residency, she gained valuable experience assessing hearing and balance disorders as well as providing rehabilitation services for hearing loss and tinnitus. Dr. Denney has a passion for helping people hear better, working with hearing aids, and educating patients about their hearing loss. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, cheering on all Kansas City sports teams, and spending quality time with her husband, Kevin.
