About Hearing Loss
Most people believe that hearing loss is associated with growing older, which is the main reason why most who suffer from the aliment wait an average of 7 years before seeking treatment. Approximately 15 percent of Americans (26 million people) between the ages of 20 and 69 have high-frequency hearing loss due to exposure to noise at work or during leisure activities.
- Hearing Aid Dispensing & Fitting
Physician Hearing Associates offers complete hearing evaluations, including video otoscopy and simulated hearing situations as part of our hearing exams.
After your evaluation, based on the results of your hearing test, we will make suggestions on an affordable solution with the hearing aid product that will best meet your needs.
- In-Office Services
We encourage ongoing cleaning and maintenance after your hearing aid purchase to ensure you receive optimum performance and benefit from your hearing aid(s). We encourage all our patients to come in for regular hearing aid check-ups and cleaning.
Repairs, maintenance, cleanings, and warranties come with all brands of hearing aids. We offer in-office repairs when possible on most makes/models.

Jeffrey Christoff, D.O. brings the latest hearing care technology and unmatched care to his patients every day. He is passionate about helping people on their journey to better hearing.
Alison B. Chapin, AuD, FAAA
Dr. Alison Chapin joins Hearing Health USA as an audiologist with experience ranging across the lifespan. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Toledo in 2002. She obtained her clinical doctorate in audiology (Au.D.) in 2014 from the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium (NOAC), a partnership between Kent State University, The University of Akron, and The Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Chapin also completed her year-long externship at The Cleveland Clinic in the Head and Neck Institute. She also received a certificate in gerontology while at the University of Akron. She is a fellow member of the American Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Chapin has experience with pediatric through geriatric populations and has a passion for improving people’s quality of life through better hearing. Her special interests include hearing aid technology, aural rehabilitation and diagnostics. A lifelong resident of New London, Alison enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her three daughters, Alivia, Addison and Reagan.
