Brenda Cervini, HIS
Brenda grew up in Greece, New York, the youngest child with an older sister to look up to. Her mother began to develop severe hearing loss when
Brenda was only 9 years old, and she started wearing hearing aids. She started with one aid, and then the second. Brenda remembers her mother running around in the back yard listening to birds and laughing when she got her second aid.
Because of these experiences, Brenda understands what hearing loss means to a patient and their families. The experiences that are most meaningful to Brenda are those life-changing moments when a patient realizes that they CAN hear. They CAN hear in the restaurant. They CAN understand their
granddaughter’s voice. They are no longer isolated at parties and holidays, and they can participate. Hearing these stories every day is why Brenda feels that dispensing hearing aids is the best job in the world!
